CEDAR CREEK MUSTANG SALLY
November 2005
Sally was initially for Jason's father but circumstances did not welcome another pup in their lives at this time.
In the meantime, Sally and our youngest son, Alex bonded with each other. In fact, so much it was a unanimous family decision that she would be Alex's dog.
When Sally was 12 weeks old, we were notified of Ace of Spades' sudden death and they were inquiring about Sally's availability.
It was very hard for Alex to let go of his "little buddy" but he chose to allow Jason and Carrie to have her. Sally had HUGE "shoes" to fill, following Ace's "paw" steps.

At 6 months, Sally does "on-the-job-training" moving the feeder cattle back, out of the way so Jason can drive in with the feed wagon......

.......and how to tend a gate, keeping the cattle back and away.

When Sally was 7 months old, we made another visit so Alex could see his lil' gal. It was hard to not think she did not remember him. |
