THE LOVE BETWEEN ONE GIRL AND ONE ENGLISH SHEPHERD ~ ~

Cedar Creek Belle-Aire traveled with me to Des Moines, IA to be bred with Cimarron Outlaw, aka. “Lefty”, May 28, 2007.

While we spent the afternoon at the Keeling's farm, Amy's 10 year old daughter, Cheyenne fell head-over-heels in love with Belle.

Multiple hugs were exchanged between Belle and Cheyenne with verbal statements of how she wished Belle belonged to her. The nonstop talk throughout the afternoon was well noted of how much Chey wanted Belle but Belle was not for sale.

Along came Copper x Maggie planned litter and one of the female pups was immediately “sold” to the Keeling family to fulfill their expectations. Chey's plans for this pup consisted of obedience/agility training for 4H and/or just for fun. Add to the activity list, this pup would be chosen to be a future "bride-to-be" of "Lefty" .

Through the daily evaluations of the pups I started picking/choosing. The decision had narrowed down to “Ellie”, “Eve” or “Eunice” . One day Cheyenne’s little voice jumped into my head as I sat viewing and reviewing each of these pups. That’s when it hit me. Belle! is the “pup” for this family! As I looked at my Belle, that bittersweet feeling emerged. I knew in my heart her life would be more fulfilled having her own people without having to share it with 3 other dogs, one being her Mother, Sasha. Without having to worry if she’s doing things right or wrong (through her Mother’s iron fist jurisdiction ), Belle’s sweet, loving, joyful and want-to-please attitude could flourish.

Belle's one of the smartest ES's I've owned and lives to please. She runs faster than any dog I've owned with precise motion. She jumps effortless 4' into the backend of the truck. She turns on a dime at full speed without loosing momentum. All of these are needed for agility maneuvers. Her super bid-ability will make obedience training a snap. And to top that all off, they have the "perfect" mate (Lefty).

The deal was sealed. As totally sooo hard as it was to let Belle go, I realize this was meant to be…….a match made in heaven.
