December 14, 2011 Update:
"Gemma is doing great. She gets to go for 1-2 hour walks multiple times a week. The only time I use a leash is if we 're walking past a busy place or if there's another dog (though I honestly don't think I even need it then, she listens so well).
My 4 year old loves it that she can finally get her to sit and fetch w/o my help now and after she's gone to bed Gemma feels the need to go into her room and check on her every hour.
She really is an amazing dog and everyone who's met her loves her.
I am excited also to be moving out to my grandpa's farm this
spring (he absolutely adores her and even lets her sit on his lap).
She'll have a lot more room to run around and some chickens, horses and a few cows to herd. She's started herding the chickens at my parents house when we visit and even attempted herding my friend's 2 Bichons on a walk a few weeks ago so it'll be good to get her something more appropriate to move : )
