April 1, 2013 update:
"Peg, Just a quick note re: Lady. We had a ewe here that was very aggressive toward the dogs and intimidated several much more highly trained dogs than Lady. When I took her in to try and work her I was afraid this ewe would ruin all the progress we have made. That ewe got in the shed and wouldn't move out. Lady went in with out a moments hesitation or command from me and grabbed that ewe's hind leg and pulled it out from under her. The ewe spun and came at her with a head butt and I said get her out and Lady grabbed her by the nose as she came in to butt her and turned her out of there pretty as you please. We had no more trouble from that ewe.
At the same time Lady was very gentle with the lamb in the group and never touched her, actually slowed down and gave her a chance to move along. I was floored. She has such good judgement and is tough as nails when she needs to be!!! That is not taught that is her working instinct and nurturing instinct working together!! What incredible talent your Copper and Maggie throw!!!! I am humbled by Lady!! :-)"
