CEDAR CREEK BUDD'S MAGGIE MAE

@ 7 weeks old

Now living on a farmette in Colorado helping with chickens, goats and Haflinger horse chores.

Phone call UPDATE:

December 9, 2007

We made the trip back in fine shape and Maggie is fitting in very well with our lives. However, it didn't take long before we were impressed to see how much natural instinct she has!

We put our goats in the barn/horse stall night before last b/c it was going to be very cold. Worried that Maggie would be scared of the goats, we soon became amazingly surprised how calm and confident she was around them. One (40#) goat escaped and Maggie went after it, gripping the heels, and soon that goat was where it was suppose to be. After the goat was in, Maggie backed off and went back to standing by our side.

We were very impressed how an 8 week old pup *knew*, let alone *acted upon* in such a mannerly way. In a very short time Maggie has demonstrated the "on/off" switches characeristic to the ES. Normally she's lying around sleeping (a lap-pup at heart : ) or chewing on her toys/playing quietly.
