Hadley's owner, Kory had this to say:
"Hadley is my dog. She goes every where I go. She's a very bossy gal with strong desire to please. She's calm and easy going. She's not an overly-aggressive, gritty cattle dog but she constantly watches my back. No question about it, she's right there when any get too close to me, pushing them back away and/or off from me.
She also keeps the cattle back away from the fence and gate at feeding time allowing me time to drive in with the feeder wagon. When it's time to move the cattle, she works the rear end and gets right on their heels. She adjusts to the call of duty with the right amount of force needed to get the job done. However, all the baby calves are her favorite, licking them from head to tail.
Her dominant figure sends a strong message, keeping most people in their vehicle unless I give the "okay" and she then is very friendly to any visitor. She protects our home and all outer buildings by standing in front of the door and holding her ground.
Hadley will run off any stray dog that comes around. Her nose is always working, snuffing out any unwanted predator. She's an avid hunter......took on and killed 3 raccoons all by herself at one time. Trees squirrels. (The above photo shows her looking up in a tree at a squirrel.)
She's very much like the natural bob tailed English Shepherd I new as a kid. This dog did not belong to me, belonged to the farmer I worked for. However, this dog was like my own for it was always with me, whatever my job happened to be. Hadley shares many of those special traits I so remember this dog having."
